The 5th grade level is where students begin to understand more about how words can paint a picture. Instead of "the tree had many colorful leaves", they now read "the tree was overflowing with fiery warmth of the colors from the sun - red, orange and yellow burst forth." This is exactly where you need to take your marketing material. Paint a picture for your reader; bring them in to what you want them to know by entering their minds and painting pictures on their brains. Think of your writing like "graffiti for the mind." By painting with words rather than dazzling with brilliance you will appeal to a much larger audience, enhance your message and add more to your bottom line. Create wording that glides down a mountain like a bright red sled sifting through the fresh snow at breath taking speed - words that can be understood and be "seen/scene". Your distinct sense of reality was formed during and because of, the flitting episodes of ideal ambitions. You were king and queen for a day and believed you could do anything you wanted, in whatever way you wanted. It was throughout this infallible phase that many dammed up creative energies were discharged, exchanged and enjoyed. The curious wisdom you gained, expended and engaged in was without limit or barrier. Your indelible sense of humor was spun from the wheel of intricate events {be they pleasant or no} fashioned at this time. What was going on in your family? The bed of your empathetic nature was carefully made with clean fresh sheets. You were able to see more than what was taking place; you transcended the mundane.
As your student goes through the second half of the 5th grade year it is a pivotal point in the level of self- confidence s/he will have going into the new environment next year. If s/he can perform well and consistently, doing things is a relatively organized way, there will be a foundation of both confidence and skills to fall back on in the new middle school environment. This is a critical time to foster the development of habits of operating in an organized manner. Do you know where your books are? Did you turn in the book report on time? Did you tell Mom about the poster board you need for tomorrow before or after dinner? (This would be the same poster board the teacher told you to get 3 days ago.)
Diatomaceous earth is a natural product that isnt exactly earth. It is actually the fossilized remains of microscopic organisms called Diatoms. You might remember them from junior high science labs. If you dont, ask a 5th grader! So these organisms create a shell around them that later gets fossilized and these fossils are ground formed in to diatomaceous earth, which is 84% silicon dioxide or Silica. It has already been proven by science that silica is that one trace mineral that is essential for human life. This is why this wonderful natural substance can prove to be highly beneficial when ingested by human beings.
It is said that the average newspaper is written on a 5th grade level and that the average online reader is at that or below. There is common misconception about this belief and why it is so. This doesnt mean that only 5th graders are using the Internet or that everyone reading online content is uneducated. Instead, it refers to the state of mind that the average reader is in when they are using the Internet. The Internet is now something we turn to in a hurry when we need to find info fast. Even if you are just browsing around, there is so much to see that it is easy to get distracted, caught up or swept away from one site to another and another and... so on.
5th grade parents, now is the time to help your child get organized for middle school success. The demands on a childs organizational skills increase dramatically. Why is the 2nd semester of 5th grade such and important time in a childs development? The big jump is coming! That leap from the cozy classroom of the 5th grade will seem like a distant memory when your child hits the hallways of the new middle school. The noise, the confusion, the complexity. While most of todays middle schools put a valiant effort into smoothing the way for 6th graders, it is often at the beginning of this transition grade that any issues a child has with organizational skills will quickly come screaming to the forefront.
