When your start-up business is a turnkey business package, you reap the benefit of having a director. The turnkey business package founders and managers have the baton. They lead and guide you through the process - they help you learn how to read the music. They have taken the sweat and tears, trial and error and missed beats out of the composition. You are quickly ready to perform - and perform well, as though theyve been in business for a while. You are able to move from 6th to 7th to 8th grades so to speak. Marilyn Burns, a well known math expert, has been addresses math anxiety since 1970 with her first book, "I Hate Mathematics" right through to her more current book, "Math; Facing an American Phobia" 1998. The latter book speaks to math anxiety as a growing phenomenon. And more recently "Math for the Anxious" by Rosanne Proga, copyrighted 2005 also is very clear about math anxiety and its causes. Of course, all this math anxiety is good; at least it is for the math textbook industry. Math anxiety sells math textbooks. Parents are concerned that their children learn math better than they did. Teachers are calling for a better way to teach math. This is great news for the math textbook companies. For you and me, this is bad news.
If you know of any recently retired teachers, so long as theyre up to date with the latest teaching methods, then they make great tutors; they may also be grateful of the additional money that this gives them. Do you know are there any parents are looking for a math tutor? Can they recommend the tutor that they have? If they can, what sort of improvement have they seen in the grades of their children? Have you taken into consideration how close your new tutor lives to you? Can you imagine it; you have already got a math tutor, but the traffic is so congested and they have to arrive late; by the time they arrive at your place, its time to have your dinner or the kids are just exhausted and ready to go to bed; doesnt make too much sense to employ someone that far away now, does it? if the person just lives nearby, it is more easier for them to make alterations of when they come and coach your kids; it doesnt disrupt theyre routing too much, and it doesnt disrupt yours, either. In what ways you know youve selected the correct person?
If the qualifications check out, and your child is happy with their tutor, then it just comes down to how well theyre actually doing in the subject. If you arent really all that proficient in your own math, so as to test them yourself, then it may pay to schedule a meeting with the math teacher at school, and see if they have noticed any significant improvements in your childs grades. So, if you want to make sure that your child is going to have a better shot at getting the job that they want in the future, nows the time to take action. It isnt a hard task at all and in a short moment starting from now, you can employing your very own math tutor.
Now, imagine the same child having access to an online math learning environment. By paying a monthly subscription, sometimes as little as $20 a month, your child will immediately have access to a system where expert tutors will explain these math topics in an engaging and easy to understand way. If you child didnt fully understand the first time they watched an online tutorial, they can watch it over and over again. Many online learning environments have examples that tutors will go through and also give you some example to go through at your own pace, so that you can complement your childs learning. For many parents, having access to an online learning system to help their child with math is a lot more cost-effective than getting a personal math tutor.
Math is best learned in the real world, with real life situations. It may start with counting out the cookies your mother gives you. Later you start comparing the number you got with the number your brother got. You quickly learn to calculate the he got how many more than you did, so that your complaint can be accurate. Next, you are watching Mom slice up the pie or cake. You quickly calculate how many pieces each person can have, that is until Mom steps in and tells you how many you can really have. Then you calculate how many you can have tomorrow with all those guests gone. This is a simple real life scenario, but how many math concepts did I cover here. These skills grow with your children. How many of you have watched your older children go through their Halloween candy. My child sorts and counts to evaluate how she did. Halloween is also a great time for teaching about taxes. Parents need to take their share of the sweet earnings, and not just of the candy the child doesnt like. Remember, Uncle Sam takes his cut off the top before you ever see a dime.
