You were so influenced by this critical time frame, that an allegiance formed during this period reflects various subject material being worked on in current relationships. The arrangement you inadvertently place preeminence upon has continued to filter the seeds of energizing artistic excellence in your current state of affairs. Its deep; real deep, but you are aware of what I am talking about without fully/adequately being able to articulate the succinct words in precise manner. The arising sense of the sacred sensual sexual artistic self in retrospect to those events form what the passionate cohesiveness nature is missing. The first hint of real disillusion appeared and because it did, you buried and disguised it in many personality costumes and sublimated forms of arbitrary denial. The identifiable need for status, prestige and respect, fraught with its insidious forms of all encompassing waves of apathetic overtones, need be investigated and yanked from the soil by the roots. The determinedly ruthless soul demands voluntary surrendered expression of your latent gifts and will not be refused.
Your child can use the measuring spoons and glasses, pots and pans, and even ladles to measure, mix and make your science projects, with the added advantage that he can keep it secret from the rest of the school. Now, contrast that with letting your child do his experiments in the school laboratory. And you can make it fun for him and the rest of the family! Well, of course, your child must do majority of the 5th grade science projects but you can help out, cant you? For example, in an experiment where wet plaster is dropped from varying heights to predict the size of craters when meteorites fall on the Earth, you can help your child arrive at just the right consistency of the plaster. All you need are water and plaster of Paris and a small box filled with soil.
Talk shows sure know how to treat their guests! Upon arriving at the Paramount lot, I was led to the "green room," where guests waiting to go on the show sipped tea, coffee or even booze (if they were desperate enough). I opted for plain water, my mouth was parched. While waiting, a very frazzled producer stopped by and quickly requested that I make a short ten-second statement on tape to be played later. I said something like, "Mrs. Jordan, you made a very big difference in my life, and I am here to thank you for it." The producer snatched the tape and disappeared like there was no tomorrow. I was alone again. Looking around the room, I was mesmerized by all the photos on the red walls (why do they call it the green room??) of famous people who were previously on the Leeza show. I was jostled out of my reverie when the door suddenly burst open and the same producer was back.
When writing for marketing purposes, the key isnt to come off sounding intelligent and powerful but to appeal to everyone reading or listening to your text. There is a popular game show on right now called, "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader". A game show where you match your intelligence on what a common 5th grade student currently knows and is learning. Fifth grade was chosen because this is the point right before the transition from learning the "basics" to where students are introduced to a higher comprehension of information This is where you need to target your material - the 5th Grade level. While in school you were always judged at what level of reading you were at - he reads at a 4th grade level, she reads at a 5th grade level, etc. Your readers are no different, they each read at a different level and targeting a lower level of reading will guarantee that you will appeal to ALL readers.
5th grade science fair projects are a little bit more involved than the previous grades. At this age students are expected to come up with their own topic, perform the majority of the experiment on their own and be able to write a small report on it with minimal adult assistance. This isnt too difficult because fifth graders are full of questions about the world, so they shouldnt have any trouble coming up with a topic and conducting a little experiment to find out the answer. Though if a student is looking for some ideas, there is one great 5th grade science fair project where one will create a fire proof balloon. To test this, the student will need adult supervision. The adult will assist the 5th grader to blow up the balloon, tie it shut, and place it over a match. The balloon will pop as you bring it close to the flame. The student will then take the second balloon and put ¼ cup of water into balloon, blow it up and tie it closed. When placed over a lit match, the student will find that the balloon will not pop, even if it touches the flame, though it may get a black patch on it from soot. The reason why the balloon will not pop is because the flame heats the liquid behind the rubber, rather than the rubber itself. The student can do another project involving heat and rubber by gathering a few rubber bands and examining the rubber as it relates to heat, a form of energy. All they will need for this experiment is their forehead and some rubber bands. They are simply testing to see if the rubber bands get warmer or cooler when stretched. You can judge this by holding the rubber band to your head while stretching it.
The first stage of learning is the collection of data. We are all inundated with data - every page we read, every email and text message, everything we hear - in fact, everything that is taken in by all of our senses -- is data. Elementary school students are taught a lot of data. Adults are also inundated with data, but while the students are expected to absorb everything they are taught, adults look for relevance and purpose within the data - they filter the data according to their needs and interests. Management guru, the late Peter Drucker, said that when you give data relevance and purpose, you get information - the second stage of the learning model. Adults seek information. Children dont know what will be relevant and purposeful to their lives, so they absorb all the data they are given. As they mature into adults, a lot of the data they learned in school is laid aside in their brains so that they can focus on what is relevant and purposeful to their lives. For some people, much of this data gets buried deep within their long-term memories and can be recalled - these people become the trivia experts and the Jeopardy contestants. But for most people, much of the data absorbed in school is lost - thats why adults have such a difficult time on the television show.
