When writing for marketing purposes, the key isnt to come off sounding intelligent and powerful but to appeal to everyone reading or listening to your text. There is a popular game show on right now called, "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader". A game show where you match your intelligence on what a common 5th grade student currently knows and is learning. Fifth grade was chosen because this is the point right before the transition from learning the "basics" to where students are introduced to a higher comprehension of information This is where you need to target your material - the 5th Grade level. While in school you were always judged at what level of reading you were at - he reads at a 4th grade level, she reads at a 5th grade level, etc. Your readers are no different, they each read at a different level and targeting a lower level of reading will guarantee that you will appeal to ALL readers.
It is said that the average newspaper is written on a 5th grade level and that the average online reader is at that or below. There is common misconception about this belief and why it is so. This doesnt mean that only 5th graders are using the Internet or that everyone reading online content is uneducated. Instead, it refers to the state of mind that the average reader is in when they are using the Internet. The Internet is now something we turn to in a hurry when we need to find info fast. Even if you are just browsing around, there is so much to see that it is easy to get distracted, caught up or swept away from one site to another and another and... so on.
Your child can use the measuring spoons and glasses, pots and pans, and even ladles to measure, mix and make your science projects, with the added advantage that he can keep it secret from the rest of the school. Now, contrast that with letting your child do his experiments in the school laboratory. And you can make it fun for him and the rest of the family! Well, of course, your child must do majority of the 5th grade science projects but you can help out, cant you? For example, in an experiment where wet plaster is dropped from varying heights to predict the size of craters when meteorites fall on the Earth, you can help your child arrive at just the right consistency of the plaster. All you need are water and plaster of Paris and a small box filled with soil.
In the mood for a little local sightseeing, I put on a pair of dark sunglasses and my favorite baseball cap, and then I peeked out into the hallway before making a mad dash for the stairwell. Yes, I know, Ive watched too many spy movies. Still I can dream a little, cant I? On the morning of the taping, the hotel security staff came up to my room and escorted me to the service elevator for a ride down to the first floor, where a presidential-like limousine was waiting for me behind the hotel. Forty-five minutes later, the fifth grade teacher and her daughter waltzed through the hotel lobby out to the front, where a bellhop was standing at the door of another black limousine.
MODE of Cosmic Therapy: Looking For My Souls Face I Left Behind The age from 10 to 11 is the most pivotal point in a persons life, barring none. Before you read another word in this writing, think back to when you were 10 years old; who was your 5th grade teacher? At what address were you living? With these two things, recalled and stationed forefront in your memory, envision that child somewhere in the classroom. Can you see him/her? There is some incident (one that may possibly seem insignificant, but most likely paramount) that occurred that prevails as the fundamental underlying theme in your current unfulfilled endeavors.
The third stage of learning is knowledge. Knowledge comes from applying the information you have gleaned to your work or your life. Until you apply that information, you cannot say that you really know it. For example, I like to cook. I have watched many cooking shows on television, and they provide a lot of data on recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods. Do I remember it all? No - I filter all that data for what I like to eat - those recipes that I would like to try become information for me - information that is relevant to my tastes in food and purposeful in that I want to try to make a particular recipe myself. But it is only when I actually try the recipe and cook something that I can say that I know how to make that dish.
